Junior League of Grand Rapids

We’re Focused on What Matters Most Right Now in Grand Rapids, Michigan

At the Junior League of Grand Rapids we live in the moment. To us, that means adjusting our focus according to our community’s most pressing needs. Our work is always evolving, and that keeps us on our toes, striving for progress, and preparing to take on whatever comes next.

Our current and renewed community goal of promoting women’s health and development can be achieved by:

  • Conducting research to identify key challenges and opportunities for women’s development
  • Empowering women through skill development programs
  • Facilitating networking and mentorship programs
  • Implementing advocacy and awareness campaigns
  • Launching initiatives focusing on health and well-being including mental and financial wellness

To date, we have collaborated with YWCA West Central Michigan and Women’s Resource Center (WRC) to achieve this and are working to develop and establish specific programming to promote women’s wellbeing and workplace success

Our goal is to help Grand Rapids women develop civic leadership skills through the work they do, then put those talents to work in the communities that need it. Our current focus of improving women’s health and development gives women opportunities to grow, while positively impacting the communities where they live and work.

We’re Creating Fulfilling Leadership Opportunities Throughout Grand Rapids

The Junior League of Grand Rapids offers so much more than local volunteering opportunities! Our League of leaders creates real change by advancing social activism-focused projects that directly benefit the communities of Grand Rapids. By giving women the tools to lead, educating them about the needs of the community, and helping them put their unique creativity and skill to work, Junior League of Grand Rapids is making a big impact on Grand Rapids

We’re Transforming Grand Rapids Communities by Challenging the Status Quo

Regardless of our focus area, the Junior League of Grand Rapids work centers around improving our local communities through effective action and leadership. We have identified women’s health and development as a critical issue in our community right now, and we are poised to impact this area by helping local women take action to resolve it. Through our collaboration with both the YWCA West Central Michigan and Women’s Resource Center (WRC) we have started to lay the groundwork for implementing specific programs to positively impact women’s wellness and workplace success. We believe that these impactful actions have the power to bring us closer to our goal of promoting women’s health and development
