Celebrating her longtime passion and leadership in the Grand Rapids community, the Junior League of Grand Rapids will honor Susan K. Jones at their annual Gala on May 5th, 2021. The Gala will benefit the League’s programming which includes women’s leadership development and improving children’s physical health in the Grand Rapids area. 

Susan K. Jones has been an involved citizen in Grand Rapids since moving from Chicago in 1980.  During her time in the League in both Grand Rapids and Chicago, Susan served on various committees and in several leadership roles, including President of the Junior League of Grand Rapids. Susan is very integrated with the local community through Mercantile Bank, Ferris Grand Rapids Council, Trustee of the Ferris Foundation, and Northwestern Club of West Michigan, among other organizations and leadership roles.  

“We are excited to celebrate Susan’s years of community leadership at the annual spring Gala,” said Angie Pope, President of the Junior League of Grand Rapids. “We’re looking forward to showcasing the momentum and success of the Junior League’s leadership training and community programs in the field of children’s physical health.” 

Celebrating their 96th year, the Junior League of Grand Rapids has worked to develop the potential of women through leadership development and volunteerism. Funds raised at the Gala will support the Junior League of Grand Rapids’ leadership training and signature programs aimed at improving children’s physical health.
